Hathras Satsang Stampede: 116 people are killed in stampede at Satsang in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh.
A stampede broke out during Bhole Baba’s satsang in Hathras, UP. According to the information received till the time of writing the news, 116 people have died in it, while hundreds of people are said to be seriously injured. The death toll may increase. This accident happened in Phulrai village, 47 km away from Hathras. Bhole Baba’s satsang program was going on in Phulrai village, as soon as the satsang ended, people started running, which caused a stampede and this accident happened. The screams and search for relatives in Hathras on Tuesday afternoon did not end till late night. Administrative staff was deployed on the spot and many senior officers were present in the district.
Bhole Baba’s satsang was going on in Phulrai village of Hathras district on Tuesday (July 2). Satsang was organized here for one day on Tuesday. More than 50 thousand people had reached Bhole Baba’s program. To participate in this program, people from Mathura, Agra, Firozabad and Etah along with many other districts had arrived.

According to the information received, most of the people have died due to suffocation and crushing. In the Hathras accident, someone has lost his mother and someone has lost his daughter.
The grief of losing family members in this way is clearly visible on the faces of the people. The 16-year-old daughter of a woman named Kamala also died in the stampede. Kamala said, “I have been coming to Baba’s satsang for 20 years. I had gone to attend the satsang with my 16-year-old daughter and there was a stampede at around 2 pm. My daughter and I were slightly injured. She was fine but she fainted as soon as she reached the hospital, later the doctors declared her dead.”
Hathras Satsang Stampede:’My everything has been destroyed’
The same is the condition of Vinod, whose entire family has been destroyed in this accident. Vinod’s wife, mother and 16-year-old daughter died in the stampede. Crying, Vinod told ANI, “I did not know that the three of them had gone to the satsang because I had gone out. Someone told me that there was a stampede in the satsang, after which I reached the spot. On reaching here, I came to know that my daughter, mother and wife had died. I did not even find my mother’s body. My everything has been destroyed.”
Hathras Satsang Stampede:’Mother not found yet’
A 3.5-year-old child also died in the stampede in Hathras. The child’s uncle Kunwar Pal said, “The child had come here with his mother. His mother is still missing. We are from Aligarh.” Hira Lal, a relative of a victim injured in the accident, had come here from Aligarh. Hira Lal said, “My whole family had come here by bus to participate in the satsang. All my family members are fine except my sister-in-law who was injured in the stampede.”
Hathras Satsang Stampede:’He used to stop me from going to satsang’
Mehtab’s wife Gudiya Devi had come to attend Baba’s satsang. She did not know that this would probably be the last day of her life. Mehtab expressed his grief while crying. He said, “I stopped her from going to Baba’s satsang many times, but she did not listen. She had come for satsang with our daughter and two neighbouring women. In this incident, both the neighbouring women and my wife have died. At present, my daughter is safe.”
Hathras Satsang Stampede: Most of the people who died in Hathras accident are women.
Actually, a satsang was organized by preacher Baba Narayan Hari in Pulrai village of Hathras district. After participating in it, people were returning to their homes, when a stampede broke out. Baba Narayan Hari is also known by his followers as Saakar Vishva Hari Bholebaba. Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh said that 116 people have died in the accident, out of which all the deceased are women except seven children and one man.
Hathras Satsang Stampede: Action will be taken against the organizers
Regarding the Hathras incident, DGP Prashant Kumar said, ‘FIR will be registered against the organizers. Action will be taken against all those who are responsible in the investigation. The Chief Secretary said that permission was given for 80,000 people to gather, but more people had gathered than that. There was sufficient police force as per the number of people allowed. If it comes to light in the investigation, action will be taken against Bhole Baba as well.’

Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar said, ‘116 people have died in the incident. All things are being investigated and we do not want to influence the process by reaching a conclusion. The case will proceed based on the findings of the investigation.

While talking to the media about the Hathras incident, CM Yogi said that the incident is very sad. He said that this entire incident is said to have happened around 3 o’clock in the afternoon. This entire incident took place inside Sikandrarao of Hathras district. There, the program of Bhole Baba’s satsang has been organized by the local organizers and local devotees participate in that program. When the program is over, it is told that when the preacher of the satsang was coming down from the stage, suddenly a crowd of devotees was going towards him to touch him and when the sevadars stopped them, this accident happened there.
